Hosts Fay & Stephen & Charlotte welcome you to their home, Le Chiroulet is a beautiful place to stay to enjoy the many all year round activities including walking, hiking, mountain biking paragliding to name but a few. There are many recognised walks straight from our home for all levels. We are less than 1 minute walk from the starting point of the trek to the beauty spot Lac Bleu (The Blue lake). The view from the house and the area provides plenty of scope for artists. We are just over ten minutes from the spa town of Bagneres de Bigorre which has plenty of shops restaurants, bars and also has the thermal baths which date back to the 17th century. Lourdes is only 40 minutes away and is situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees. La Mongie/Bareges are the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees which is only 35 minutes away.

The Guest Lounge is very spacious and has a real log burning fire to keep you warm on those chilly nights. Our dining area has a table large enough to take all the maps you need to prepare for your next day's challenge.

All bedrooms are located on the first floor and some have truly breathtaking views.
Katherine is a lovely room which has a very comfortable double bed and large enough for a single too, and an en-suite shower room. This also has a great view of the surrounding mountains. Great for a family.
Our Victoria bedroom has a beautiful bedstead and bed settee which has an en-suite shower room and a fabulous view overlooking the front terrace with the mountains opposite.
Our Emily bedroom it has two comfortable single beds. This has an en-suite shower room with a wonderful view of the mountains.

All of our guest rooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard of comfort. Hairdryers are available in all rooms as well as tea and coffee making facilities which include instant and filter coffee. In our bedrooms we have beautiful bedding and Egyptian cotton towels.

We have a large terrace which offers stunning views of the mountains, and is perfect for relaxing on in the evenings with a glass of wine after a busy day.

Our Chambres table d'hotes is just over ten minutes away from Bagneres de Bigorre which is perfect for house hunters. Some of the estate agents are English speaking and are very helpful. We are situated at the end of a Valley which is called Valley de Lesponne so after a busy day viewing houses you could relax by taking one of the many walks or strolls from the house.
There are various outdoor activities but if you love walking hiking and cycling this is the place for you.

If you are just a beginner or an advanced walker there are many routes for you to take without leaving our valley. Cabanes de la lit Lac de Peyrelade Lac D’Ourrec Also the beautiful Lac Bleu All starting points are within 2 minutes walk from our home and La Croix de Beliou and various other routes are also in the valley. For anyone who loves walking and the outdoor life these routes are defiantly a must.

La Mongie / Bareges Ski Resort is only 35 mins away which is ideal for all standards of skiers. Off Piste - yes with the Pic de Midi lift now open to groups (with a guide) wishing to attempt the descent from the observatory at 2877m right down into the resort at La Mongie with restaurants and bars.
If you are a keen walker who would like an alternative to skiing then why not try snowshoeing.
Snowshoeing can be described as winter walking. On snowshoes you can go to places otherwise inaccessible in the snow, It has become very popular in the last ten years. In winter the mountains and forests around our home are transformed to a blanket of white.
