Being situated on the Charente, Vienne and Deux sevre borders, this is the ideal place to stay. With it’s gentle climate and varied coutryside it is a gateway to exploring this beautiful and charming region of France.

In nearby Lezay there is a bustling traditional market every Tuesday morning where you can sample local farm produce and wines including Pineau, goats cheese and blackened cheese tart, which are 3 specialities of this area.

You can also find in Lezay a beautiful park and pond as well as swimming pool, tennis courts, horse riding and fishing. Locally you can visit the ‘Mines d’Argent’ and beautiful romanseque churches in Melle, the ‘musee de Ravranum’ at Rom and leisure lake at Celles-sur-Belles.

A little further afield you can delight in the historic towns of  Poitiers and Niort. La Rochelle on the Atlantic coast and Cognac surrounded by it’s acres of vineyards. Also a must is ‘le Marais poitvin’- ‘green venice’.
