Welcome To La Renardais: Luxurious Bed and Breakfast in Brittany

Established in 1993, La Renardais, an elegant 19th century stone built country house, is situated on the outskirts of Plouër-sur-Rance, a pretty riverside Breton village. Being in a picturesque location, we are the perfect guest house for a range of holiday types from weekend breaks to the perfect French summer holiday. The house has been restored by us both to preserve its original charm, and to offer modern-day comforts to our guests.

La Renardais, at Plouër-sur-Rance, is an elegant country house Bed & Breakfast established in 1993, where you will be made to feel "at home away from home" when you arrive. Built some 150 years ago, it has been carefully restored by us to provide modern-day comforts for our guests in a traditional setting. Recommended by the AA in the "Best B&B France" guide, and listed in The Observer's "Top Twenty" selection.

The house stands about 400 meters from the river Rance, 10 minutes down-river from the fascinating medieval town of Dinan. The coast (and beaches) are about 15 minutes away at Dinard or Saint-Malo, and Mont Saint Michel is 40 minutes from La Renardais

"A favourite area, blissfully little known..." is how Patricia Fenn describes Plouër-sur-Rance in her well known French Entrée guide, "...a peaceful and safe setting for your stay in France".

For golf lovers, there are many fine golf courses (both inland and links) within a short distance from La Renardais for which information is available on request.

Up the original chestnut staircase (painstakingly restored by Suzanne) there are 4 spacious and well appointed bedrooms which provide a relaxing ambiance for your holidays; the firm beds are especially comfortable. Warm carpeting, together with lace curtains, quality bed linen and towels, all add a further touch of luxury.

Each bedroom has its own private en-suite bathoom with electric shaver points. Choose between single beds, or king-size doubles; additional beds can be installed to comfortably accommodate a family.

There are tea and coffee making facilities in each bedroom so that you can enjoy a nice cuppa first thing in the morning - no better way to start the day.

There are many extras including hairdryers, heated towel rails, and additionnal spare sockets for all the modern day electric gadgetry.
(NB: French electric sockets differ from most other countries; however, the electric supply is like the UK ie 240v).

All the bedrooms have full central heating and we've installed quality double-glazed windows to stop the little draughts which can be discomforting. You will find ample wardrobe and hanging space for all your clothes and personal effects.

A good night's sleep is assured.
