Tilleul is the largest of the five self-catering gites at 'Le Jardin des Amis'. This light and airy, stone-built house can accommodate 8 in bedrooms or up to 10 by use of a sofa bed in the living room. The house looks out onto a garden area and neighbouring walnut grove with hills beyond. behind the property is the shared pool, surrounded by orchard, meadow and woods: a tranquil spot to relax after a day of sight-seeing.
This is the perfect location for a sightseeing or activity holiday, positioned between the Dordogne and Vezere rivers. The Vezere valley is renowned for its links to prehistory: it abounds with famous caves, and the National museum for pre-history is found in Les Eyzie (4 miles away). The Dordogne valley is known for the 'Bastide Chateaux' which are dotted along it's length. For those who like outdoor activities, there are many opportunities for canoeing, walking, fishing and riding. The beautiful medieval town of Sarlat is 10 miles away.
