'Le Jardin des Amis' is a complex of 5 self-catering gites. The properties were once a farm and have been renovated to retain the traditional character features whilst giving modern facilities.
Chene Vert (meaning green oak) is thought to be about 200 years old and has the thick stone walls which keep the property comfortably cool in the summer but which will retain the heat from its wood-burning stove in winter! The cottage has an open-plan ground floor with kitchen/dining area and living room area. Spiral stairs take you up to the shower room and two bedrooms: one double and one twin. both bedrooms have wash hand basins.
This is the perfect location for a sightseeing or activity holiday, positioned between the Dordogne and Vezere rivers. The Vezere valley is renowned for its links to prehistory: it abounds with famous caves, and the National museum for pre-history is found in Les Eyzie (4 miles away). The Dordogne valley is known for the 'Bastide Chateaux' which are dotted along it's length. For those who like outdoor activities, there are many opportunities for canoeing, walking, fishing and riding. The beautiful medieval town of Sarlat is 10 miles away.
