Description
L'Escale couldn't be any nearer to the River Dordogne without actually being afloat. Situated on the riverbank next to a beautiful sandstone bridge on the outskirts of the charming village of Siorac-en-Périgord. We're on the main route from Bergerac (45 mins) to Sarlat (25 mins) in the historical and breathtaking Périgord Noir area of the Dordogne, known locally as the valley of a thousand and one chateaux.
An ideal location for fisherman, artists, ornithologists or anyone wanting to relax and enjoy this beautiful area of France.
We offer 5 B&B rooms, 3 double and 2 family, all are non smoking, spacious and have large en suite bathrooms. Every room overlooks the garden and river and has access to the riverbank for swimming and canoe rental. Rooms can be taken on a B&B or room only basis. Cots and foldaway beds can be added to the family rooms for a small supplement of 8 Euros per night.
Also available for let is our self catering Studio Apartment, for those who want to be a little more independent. With one bedroom/lounge, kitchen/diner, shower room and outside seating and dining area with gas barbecue. Views over the garden and river and only a 5 min walk to a large supermarket.
