Beaulieu sur Dordogne and Argentat both provide easy access to the Dordogne river. Other local towns including Brive la Gaillarde, Meyssac and Tulle all have local markets. For days out Martel, with a tourist steam train, Rocamadour, Salers, Chateaux at St Cere, waterfalls at Les Cascades a Gimel, caves at Padirac and the Jacques Chirac museum nearby. The Dordogne offers canoeing, kayaking, fishing and Gabare boat trips.
