Les Deserts our beautifully restored cottage is a haven of peace and tranquility yet close to all of Normandy's many attractions. Situated on a hill overlooking the sleepy hamlet of St Christophe De Chaulieu, Les Deserts stands in it's own large well maintained gardens and has beautiful views of the Normandy countryside and the neighboring pine forest. An ideal base for a family or romantic holiday
The large open plan living room has exposed oak beams and a feature granite fireplace with a wood burner for cooler nights. Large comfy sofas and TV with surround sound/satellite channels and a huge collection of DVDs makes the living area a very comfortable area to sit and relax with your family. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to make your stay at the cottage more comfortable.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms consisting of, one double with french doors with lovely views of the valley, One twin bedroom with TV and video and the third bedroom is a double which has a very comfortable sofa for a seventh person if required. All are tastefully furnished and have plenty of storage space and all bedrooms have floor standing fans to keep you cool in the summer and heaters for cooler evenings. Les Deserts stands in its own large well maintained gardens with beautiful views of the countryside, The south facing terrace has a lovely view of the neighboring pine forest, it is a wonderful place to sit and relax any time of year, you may also be able to spot some of the local wildlife including deer, red squirrels, hares and the many different birds that frequent the garden and if you are lucky wild boar. There is a gazebo on the terrace with table/chairs and barbecue and plenty of out door lights for dining alfresco. To cool off in the summer months there is a large plunge pool with sun loungers and for our younger guests there is a sand pit ( bucket & spade provided) and a selection of garden toys ( a small paddling pool is available for toddlers)

Because Les Deserts is on the edge of 3 departments, Calvados, Orne and Manche, it is the perfect location for discovering all that Normandy has to offer. From the Mont St Michel, The d-day beaches and museums, Villedie les poeles and Bayeux are all within easy reach from our cottage. Paris Airport is approximatley a 2.5 hour drive from the cottage.Please visit our website for more photos and information
GETTING TO FRANCE Les deserts is easly reached from one of the ports, and flights to Caen Airport are available from most united kingdom Airports

Rental Conditions: Change over days are Saturday and entry to the cottage is only available after 4pm, please vacate before 10am on the day of your departure,Linen available at £8 per person, please note that you are required to leave the cottage as clean and tidy as you would expect to find. if however you decide not to clean the cottage before your departure please mention this when you are booking and a cleaner can be arranged at an additional cost of £30.
