Each cottage has a well equipped fitted kitchen, cosy comfortable sitting areas and tiled bathrooms and toilets. Each cottage has a terrace and/or balcony with barbecues and patio furniture. You can relax in or around the 12 x 6 metre saline swimming pool (no chlorine, no stinging eyes, no bleached hair) with its loungers and parasols. Separate laundry room and shady parking. A superb location for relaxing in peace and quiet or touring around the wonderful countryside with its many pretty towns and villages such as Carennac, Loubressac, Autoire, Curemonte, Gluges, Meyronne, St. Cere, Martel, Collonges la Rouge, Turenne, Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne and the world famous Rocamadour. The Accommodation The accommodation comprises four self-contained cottages converted from old farm buildings arranged around a courtyard. Each cottage provides a comfortable holiday environment and has been sympathetically restored to a high standard with many exposed beams and original stone walls Each cottage contains a large living area with sofa, comfortable chairs and dining furniture. Each has a fully fitted well equipped kitchen with gas cooker, refrigerator, and storage space for cutlery, crockery, kitchen utensils and food. All cottages except ‘La Petite Grange’ have microwaves. First floor accommodation is reached by an open-plan stairway. For out-of-season holidays cottages 1 and 2 have wood-burning stoves for which well-seasoned wood can be supplied. Every cottage has a fully tiled bathroom with bath, shower, bidet, wash basin and a separate toilet. Every cottage has one bedroom with double bed and a further bedroom with two single beds. All bedrooms have attractive beamed ceilings and fitted wardrobes. ‘La Lavande’ has a further double bedroom on a mezzanine floor above the living room with its own separate toilet and wash basin. Each cottage has its own private patio with table, chairs, parasol and barbecue for those who enjoy ‘alfresco’ eating and from which the gardens and views can be enjoyed. La Petite Grange (sleeps 4) This detached barn stands to the south of the courtyard separate from the other houses and its secluded patio and private garden enjoy lovely views. The living area, bathroom and toilet are on the ground floor with two bedrooms and further toilet in the converted loft area above. Le Jasmin (sleeps 4) This cottage is at the western end of the main barn and has excellent views on three sides. The large living area is on the ground floor and leads onto a tiled patio commanding superb views. The bedrooms, bathroom and toilet are on the first floor. La Lavande.(sleeps 6)This cottage is situated in the middle of the main barn. The living area is positioned on the first floor and a private balcony leads from this area to provide the best view of the Dordogne valley below. Two bedrooms, a bathroom and separate toilet are located on the ground floor and a further mezzanine bedroom is situated above the living area. On the northern side of the cottage is a private terrace surrounded by its own garden.
Le Romarin (sleeps 4) This cottage is located at the eastern end of the main barn. Its living accommodation is on the ground floor as is the main bathroom and separate toilet and the tiled patio on the northern side of the cottage offers good views of the countryside. On the first floor the double bedroom has patio doors leading onto a south-facing balcony with commanding views of the valley. There is also an additional toilet and wash basin on this floor. The heated swimming pool (12 x 6 metres) has loungers and parasols for your comfort, poolside lights and underwater illumination and is shared with the other guests and owners. There is table tennis, children’s swings and a sandpit to ensure that even our youngest guests are never at a loose end. Close to all of the cottages a small barn has been converted into a laundry room with automatic washing machines, iron and ironing board and a freezer for the use of the guests.Details
