La Maison Magique is a traditional Breton country house on the banks of the River Blavet in the beautiful and picturesque village of St Nicolas des Eaux just south of Pontivy in Southern Brittany.  Your English speaking hosts, who also reside in the grounds, look forward to welcoming you.

The house is set in over one and a half acres of delightful gardens.  There is ample car parking and the house is a few minutes walk from bars and restaurants and the many attractions of the village.  Within easy reach there is a selection of international standard golf courses, safe, sandy beaches, water sports on the nearby lake – the largest in Brittany - and superb fishing on the river and surrounding lakes.  The Blavet Valley and surrounding area is also noted for walking, cycling and horse-riding.

This three storey house is very much in the traditional Breton farmhouse style and retains its original features with beautiful fireplaces, wooden floors and ceilings, a spacious ground floor furnished terrace and spacious and comfortable lounge with satellite tv, dvd and video – all available to our guests.  Set within well maintained communal gardens with lots of lawned area and trees and leading down to the River Blavet towpath.

We have three gites each of which accommodates 5/6 people.  All are fully equipped with Satellite TV, DVD, Video, all have private terraces with BBQ and all linen and towels are provided.  Full details of each of the gites and the house can be found on our web site.

We have five rooms available for Chambre d’Hote – two double rooms and one twin room en-suite, a family room with adjoining large bathroom and a single room – the latter two with French doors leading onto furnished balcony.  All linen and towels are provided and all rooms are centrally heated.

Breakfast is served in the dining room and dinner can be provided on request with prior notice.  Tea and coffee making facilities in the well-equipped kitchen available to our guests.  We also have cycle hire available on the premises, together with a good selection of books, videos and dvd’s for the use of our guests.
