A traditional, restored, gîte set on the edge of a small hamlet in the rolling hills of the Vendée countryside - ideal for couples or small families.  Centrally located between La Rochelle and Poitier, Puy du Fou and the Venise Verte, it is well situated for exploring the area.

This pretty gîte is full of character, with exposed beans thoughout, original bread oven etc., it offers a real taste of rural France.   Attached to the old farmhouse, it is entirely independent and it's large private garden with furniture and barbecue is a wonderful place to relax, soak up the atmosphere and maybe have a game of boules.

Two bedrooms, one double with views over open countryside.  One twin (low head height) for which an extra single bed or travel cot can be supplied.    Lounge-dining room with sofa, easychairs, dining table & chairs, CD/radio/cassette player, a collection of books & games.   Bathroom with 'sabot' bath and shower over, wash-hand basin and a separate toilet with wash-hand basin.  Kitchen with gas cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, plenty of cookware, crockery and cutlery - service washes available.  The kitchen door opens directly onto the garden.  Private, off-road parking alongide the gîte.
