Maison Rouge and its adjoining property, L’Ecurie, are two beautiful cottages located in a wonderful woodland setting with large garden and pool. Immaculately-presented, they can be booked separately, with each accommodating up to seven people, or taken together for larger groups of up to 14.

La Maison Rouge, as well as L'Ecurie at Maison Rouge, are lovingly restored and renovated cottages, each retaining many of their original features. Beautifully furnished to provide comfortable and well equipped accommodation, they are located in a peaceful setting on the edge of the Forest de Monnaie, 20 minutes from the Chateau Town of Saumur.

La Maison Rouge (Sleeps 6/7)

This is the main house, which has a most welcoming and captivating charm. From the entrance of Maison Rouge you enter the spacious open plan hallway and kitchen/dining area. The well equipped kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob, as well as a microwave, washing machine and dishwasher and two fridges and freezer. The table in the dining area seats up to eight people and a stable door leads out to the lovely garden which is surrounding by trees and woodland.

Back in the house the large sitting room has a wood burning stove, making La Maison Rouge perfect for winter holidays. In the sitting room is a TV with DVD and UK satellite and also a CD player and a selection of books and games. Patio doors lead out onto a private rear terrace where there is a very large table which can comfortably seat 6-12 people. A BBQ is available for guests' use.

Also downstairs, off the sitting room, is a beautifully beamed room that features bunk beds providing a sleeping arrangement for two singles and an en-suite bathroom and WC.

In the hallway a feature stair case takes you upstairs where there are two further bedrooms each with en-suite shower rooms and WCs.

The master bedroom has a king size bed and dressing area with ample wardrobe space. A door from the master bedroom leads out onto a balcony area with table and chairs that overlook the garden and woodland beyond. A second internal door leads to the en-suite shower room.

Completing the layout, is the second upstairs bedroom featuring two single beds and a single futon chair-bed that can sleep an additional guest and/or cot. An internal door leads to the en-suite shower room.

L'Ecurie at Maison Rouge (Sleeps 6/7)

This is the adjoining, detached, cottage which has the benefit of its own private garden area.

Entrance to L'Ecurie at Maison Rouge is from a side door which takes you into the kitchen/dining area, which is well equipped with a fridge/freezer, oven with hob, microwave and dishwasher. A washing machine, further fridge/freezer and iron/ironing board are located in the laundry room at the rear of the adjoining barn.

Outside there is a large table and chairs and private terraced area with a BBQ.

Back in the house, the sitting room features a wood burning stove, UK Satellite TV/DVD, CD player, and a range of books and games. Patio doors lead out to the gravelled area to the front of the house.

Off the sitting room is a spacious twin bedded room (which can also be made into a super-king-size bed) and also a separate shower room/WC.

A stair case leads upstairs where there is a large master bedroom with double bed and ample dressing area. There is also a single day bed for an additional guest. The second double bedroom is also located upstairs together with the main bathroom which features a bath with shower over, and WC.

Outside

Both Maison Rouge and L'Ecurie have their own private garden areas, as well as the use of the lovely woodland garden with 13' trampoline, pool with sun terrace, and large games barn with table tennis, darts, and table football. Bikes are available for guests use.

Child Friendly

Both properties are very child friendly, and stair gates, high chairs, and travel cots are available, and a baby bath and potty can be provided on request.
