The property is situated near the Charente/Dordogne border, about an hour’s drive from St. Emillion, Bordeaux and Cognac.

The balcony, with lovely views down the valley, overlooks the pool and effectively makes an outdoor room; ideal for open air meals and enjoying the sunshine and beautiful sunsets.  

 
There are 5 bedrooms:  2 double bedrooms downstairs,  one with ensuite shower room, one with ensuite bathroom both with french windows opening onto the terrace below the balcony.

 
Upstairs there are two singles, a twin room and separate bathroom.  Linen, blankets and quilts are provided.

The 10m x 5m pool is solar heated with a shallow end with roman steps and a deep end for diving. Lamps light up the garden at night and the pool is floodlit in the evening.

The property is situated 2 minutes drive away from Chalais which has an impressive Chateau overlooking the town which is a 20 minute walk.  There is a large colourful street market on Monday mornings as well as banks, post office, cafes, etc.

There is a nine hole golf course nearby as well as tennis courts, riding, canoeing and plenty of walking trails.
