Maison & Petite Maison des Roses  - 17 th Century Rose House & Rose Cottage

 

Accomodates up to 12 people - Fully restored to a high standard, they offer private and independant accomodation, access to both properties can be gained internally when the Cottage and House are booked together. 

 

Rose House

Spacious, airy and full of charm with its original features goings back 300 years such as an oak sweeping staircase, wooden floors and beamed ceilings, granite fire place with wood burning stove and potoven.  It has a king sized bedroom with walk in wardrobe and a double sofa bed (sleeps 2). 

Second bedroom is downstairs and has a double bed and looks out onto our quaint garden. 

Bathroom has a bath with shower inside.  French day bed sleeps one which is situated on a large airy landing. 

There is a large lounge with log burning stove and separate kitchen.

The main door to the side of the house walks out onto a pretty enclosd private garden which overlooks fields with bbq and patio furniture.

Rose Cottage

Can be hired without the House and accomodates up to 5 people.  See owners website for price details.

Cosy but not small  with well equipped kitchen and large living area. 

Two large bedrooms: Upstairs bedroom has double and single bed and second bedroom is downstairs with two single beds.  Bathroom is upstairs.  You will find plenty of original features have been kept such as beamed ceilings, mahogany spindle staircase and wooden floors.

The garden is facing the cottage across the quiet road, it has a decked area for sunbathing and has bbq and table and chairs.  No smoking permitted in the properties.

Well behaved pets allowed in Cottage only by prior arrangement - £25 per pet

We have set out to create a tranquil and authentic environment allowing you to appreciate the pleasures of rural France.

The properties are situated on a quiet road in a pretty medieval village of Brigueuil,  on the Charente Limousin border, otherwise known as the 'Lake District' of France.

 

The area has an abundance of Lakes, Churches, Chateaux, Forests, and Medieval Towns, ideal for walkers, cyclists, horse riders, sightseers and fishing enthusiasts.

 

There are many beautiful Lakes with man made beaches that are safe for swimming generally with lifeguards and water sports or the coast is only two and a half hours drive.  Our nearest Lake is 15 mins by car or nearest swimming pool with inside and outside pool and sunbathing areas is 5 mins by car.

The village of Brigueuil has all the amenities needed and the people are very friendly.  You can sample typical french food at the Auburge or sample the french beer at the Tabac. 

Limoges airport is a 20 minute drive.
