Sorry - the cottage is not suitable for children under 8, due to an unfenced goldfish pond in the grounds. Babies are fine, if you have a travel cot!
By popular request, it's "non-smoking" indoors, please.
There is no television, but a radio/CD player is provided.
All bed linen and house towels are provided.
Electric convector heaters are fitted for those early and later bookings!
A welcome pack, usually consisting of fresh bread, local cheese, plus beer, wine, and milk, awaits you!

Guests are free to share our beautiful garden. There is a 10 metre x 5 metre pool, shared with the owners. Complying with French law, the swimming pool is fitted with an approved alarm, and there is additional poolside seating On your doorstep, you will find; two bakers, a butcher, a SPAR shop, a superb restaurant with a pizza takeaway, a bar/restaurant, a bank, a chemist, a hairdresser... in short, everything you need for day-to-day living! A short stroll down a country road leads to another restaurant, with a terrace overlooking a beautiful lake. A few minutes drive will take to the nearest hypermarket at Chalais, which has an excellent open air market on Mondays.For a greater shopping experience, the cities of Angouleme photo of cathedral below (40 minutes), or Bordeaux - photo of Bourse below (55 minutes), will not disappoint! Should you wish to have a day off from driving, both can be reached by train from the nearest railway station at Chalais. Both cities will excite you, with their interesting mixture of small specialist shops, and superb extensive shopping centres. Every local village seems to host its own festivities on different weekends during the summer!
