The property sits in 5 acres of private grounds and is located on the edge of a small village. There are rolling hills and woods all around. Both the house and the gite have been restored to provide every modern comfort, while retaining all the charm of the original stonework, wood beamed ceilings and stone floors.

Enjoy the top class food at local restaurants, canoe down the River Dronne, or visit the many interesting attractions and picturesque villages.

The property, that dates back 400 years, is divided in to the main house (sleeps 6/8) and a gite (sleeps 2/4). Both houses have been restored and equipped to a high standard with all modern conveniences. Both are rented together, providing accommodation for up to 10 people with exclusive use of the pool and all facilities.
 
Main House
3 bedrooms - sleeps up to 8.
 
The living/dining room has a large fireplace, quarry tile floor, wooden beams and exposed stones. It comes furnished with sofas, chairs, a dining table and sideboard/cupboards.

The kitchen leads off of the living room, and is equipped with cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, and comes generously equipped with utensils, and everything you need.
 
There is a also a downstairs WC/cloakroom just off the entrance hall.
 
A wide period wooden staircase leads to the landing with the impressive master bedroom leading off it. With it's high ceilings, carved fireplace and massive ceiling beams it is an outstanding feature of the house. There is an en-suite shower room, double bed and two single beds.

There are two other bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other 2 single beds. Leading off the landing is a bathroom with bath and separate shower.
 
Gite
1 Bedroom - sleeps 2 to 4
 
The gite has an enormous living/dining room with attractive white stone-flagged floor, a large open fireplace, and wood beamed ceiling. The kitchen area is equipped with cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, and comes generously equipped with utensils and everything you may need.

Leading off the main living room, there is a good sized double bedroom with a shower room & WC.
 
The futon in the living room converts into a comfortable double bed, providing total accommodation for up to 4 people.
 
An old oak front door leads from the main living area to the patio, with garden table, chairs and a barbecue. Mature trees provide plenty of shade for relaxing when the temperature rises.
 
Downstairs there is a large entrance hall with a second shower room/WC leading off it which is very convenient when coming in from the pool. There is also an external door to the cental courtyard and parking area.

The gite patio area is south facing and has mature trees providing plenty of shade for relaxing or barbecuing.
 
Outside
There is a central courtyard between the house and gite and each has its own separate patio area on the other side of the property from the courtyard. The house has a large covered veranda and barbecue area at the rear with views over rolling fields and woods.
 
There is a 10m x 5m swimming pool situated close to both the house and gite. It is fitted with an automatic security alarm to provide protection for children when the pool is not in use.

The garden covers around 5 acres of open parkland, bounded by trees and fields, with specimen trees around the two main houses, providing shade for those hot sunny days. There is ample garden furniture for barbecues or relaxing by the pool.
 
The surrounding countryside is green and attractive, with rolling hills and many delightful walks from the door. It is also wonderful cycling country and cycles are available on request.

The pool is of liner construction and great care must be taken to avoid damage. The HIRER agrees to take every reasonable care to avoid damage to the liner, to follow the pool care recommendations provided at the time of occupation, and to ensure that glassware is not used in the vicinity of the pool. Plastic glasses are provided for use near the pool. The HIRER will be liable for any damage to the liner caused by reckless or willful action. - It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.
