<>For the third summer running we are delighted to offer for rental our spacious holiday home located right in the middle of  the beautiful medieval village of Bazoges en Pareds in the sunny southern Vendee. The village is dominated by the 14th century castle and church which is directly opposite the property (pictured right) and is conveniently located just fifteen minutes from the main A83 motorway in the heart of the Vendean bocage and within easy reach of many major tourist attractions and less than an hour from the magnificent Atlantic coastline.

<>The holiday cottage is a converted stables block set within a courtyard just off the village square. Close by there is a friendly local bar, a top class restaurant, a boulangerie and tabac/grocery and in the nearby town of Chantonnay (10kms) there is a wide range of shopping. We are close to the world famous Puy du fou and and less than an hour away from fantastic beaches. There are all sorts of attractions in the area to suit all tastes (have a loook at the 'Local Attractions' page) so whether you want an activity holiday or a relaxing oneor a mixture of both, Bazoges is the perfect place for your holiday in France.

Converted from a former stables block in the summer of 2005, we have opted to provide large rooms and open plan living in our spacious holiday cottage.The total floor space is over 130sq metres spread over two floors. On the ground floor there are two large French doors leading from the courtyard into the open plan kitchen/dining/living area with a large fireplace at one end and luxury open plan kitchen at the other.

Upstairs, there are two spacious bedrooms, both capable of sleeping up to four people and both with en-suite facilities. One has a double bed with the option of a pull out sofa while the other has a bunkbed with a double at the bottom and a seperate single bed.

The cottage opens out onto a courtyard (shared with neighbours) and there is a large garden which is walled and gated. Within the garden there is a seperate fenced off area for toddlers with sandpit and other toys adjacent to the patio area with BBQ, seating areas and loungers. The garden has swings, climbing frame, see-saw, slide and various other games as well as a full size boules pitch.

The shared pool is 7x4.8m and 1.2m deep set in a decked area and is perfect for children. It is fenced off according to French regulations. Our garden gets the sun from early morning until late evening and if you're not tempted by the many tourist attractions in the area it offers the perfect place to unwind and relax and, after all, that's what France is all about.

We have holidayed in France many times and have experienced the best and the worst that the country has to offer so we think we know what people are looking for.

Our accommodation is clean, modern, spacious and comfortable and there are no extra charges for things like linen, towels, minor breakages and even bike hire. We know this is a big holiday for you and we want you to enjoy it to the full and, who knows, come back to visit us again in the future.
